Stella Nova Restaurant & Bar Review (Menus and Prices)

If you’ve been searching for what food is available during your stay at the Stella Nova Resort during your Universal Orlando Vacation, this post is for you.

The cafe is on site is called Cosmos Cafe and Market, alonside a lobby bar, the Nova Bar, and a casual poolside resturant, the Galaxy Bar and Galaxy Grill.

I stayed at Stella Nova in July 2026 and ate my way through all of it. Since the hotel with no sit-down restaurant, as it’s aimed at an audience on a budget, the quality of the quick-service food matters a lot more than usual.

Here’s every place to eat and drink at the resort, the Stella Nova menu highlights with prices, and my honest take on what’s worth your money.

You might be surprised at how amazing the food is at Stella Nova!

The Lay of the Land: How Dining Works at Stella Nova

Stella Nova is a value-tier hotel, and the dining setup reflects it. There are four ways to eat here:

  1. Cosmos Cafe and Market — the main quick-service cafe plus a grab-and-go market, serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner

  2. Galaxy Bar and Galaxy Grill — the walk-up pool bar and grill

  3. Nova Bar — the craft cocktail bar in the lobby

  4. Pizza delivery — the only “room service,” delivered to your door in the evenings

There is no table service, no character meals, and no buffet. If you want a sit-down dinner, you’re taking the ten-minute walk to Epic Universe (ticket required) or the shuttle to CityWalk or one of Universal’s other properties.

Cosmos Cafe and Market (a.k.a. the Stella Nova Cafe)

This is the spot most people mean when they search for the Universal Studios Stella Nova cafe.

It’s a counter-service restaurant off the lobby where you order at registers (or mobile order), grab a pager, and pick a seat, with an attached market selling grab-and-go sandwiches, salads, snacks, desserts, beer, and wine for the room.

Close enough for a pre-park caffeine run, and the line moves faster than a mall Starbucks anyway.

Prices have likely crept since the opening menus, so treat those as a baseline . Expect $13–$16 for most entrees, which is normal for on-property Orlando and a few dollars kinder than what you’ll pay inside Epic Universe.

The market side is quietly the MVP for families: bottled drinks, breakfast pastries, snacks, and beer and wine you can take back to the room, plus themed treats like the Stella Cookies. Coca-Cola Freestyle machines handle fountain drinks, and the resort sells a refillable mug that works at the Freestyle machines for $19.99 plus tax.

Nova Bar (the “Stella Nova Bar”) and Pricing

Searching for the Stella Nova restaurant & bar lands you here: Nova Bar, the lobby cocktail bar and the closest thing the hotel has to an evening hangout. It sits right in the main lobby with lounge seating, and it leans into the space theme with craft cocktails — including smoked drinks presented under glass cloches — alongside classic cocktails, beer, and wine.

The signature order is The Black Hole, an espresso martini that’s earned a small cult following among Epic Universe regulars. Beer runs Orlando-hotel pricing — think $10.50 for a 16-ounce Stella Artois (yes, Stella at Stella Nova; they know what they’re doing).

At opening, Nova Bar poured from 5:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. — fine for a nightcap, but if you want an afternoon beer, which is what the pool bar is for.

Galaxy Bar and Galaxy Grill (Poolside) and Pricing

The pool complex has its own walk-up bar and grill combo. Galaxy Grill covers burgers, quesadillas, salads, and kid-friendly baskets; Galaxy Bar covers cocktails, beer, wine, and frozen drinks for the 21-plus crowd.

The clever part is mobile ordering from your pool chair — you order from your phone and walk up when it’s ready. The catch: no delivery to your lounger, so it’s mobile ordering in the “skip the register line” sense, not walk-around service like at some resorts.

Pizza Delivery: The Only Room Service

Stella Nova doesn’t offer traditional room service — the lone exception is evening pizza (5 p.m. to 12 a.m.) delivery straight to your room.

After a full Epic Universe day, when your feet have filed a formal complaint, a pizza showing up at your door is worth more than any minibar.

How Stella Nova Dining Compares to Other Universal Hotels

Honest context: this is a functional food lineup, not a destination one. Aventura’s Urban Pantry food hall has more variety and a real Starbucks, plus the rooftop Bar 17 Bistro — I break that down in Stella Nova vs Aventura. Terra Luna, Stella Nova’s twin across the park, mirrors this exact setup with different names (Omega Cafe and Market, Luna Bar, Moonrise Bar and Grill) — details in Stella Nova vs Terra Luna.

The good news is you’re never dependent on the hotel: Epic Universe’s restaurants are a ten-minute walk away (with a ticket), and CityWalk is a 15-minute bus ride. If you’re trying to squeeze maximum park time out of a short trip, my one-day Universal Orlando plan covers where meals fit without wasting an hour.

Verdict: Should You Plan to Eat at Stella Nova?

My planning advice: do breakfast at Cosmos Cafe (or grab market pastries and Starbucks coffee to keep rope-drop on schedule), eat lunch in the parks, and let Nova Bar’s Black Hole espresso martini or a delivered pizza close out the night. So much of your day is about snacking in the parks, so the focus on food here is admirable for a value resort.

That’s the rhythm this hotel is built for — and at $13–$16 an entree with no resort fee padding the bill, it’s a fair deal by Orlando standards.
