Hyatt Centric The Pike Long Beach Review - A California Getaway

Introduction

Hyatt Centric The Pike Long Beach is a Category 4 property located in the heart of Long Beach, California. The hotel offers view of the Pacific Ocean and is just steps away from the lively Pike Outlets, the Aquarium of the Pacific, and the Long Beach Convention and Entertainment Center. In this review, we'll take a closer look at Hyatt Centric The Pike Long Beach and how my stay went as a Hyatt Globalist.

Location

The Hyatt Centric The Pike Long Beach is located in Downtown Long Beach, California. This prime location offers guests easy access to local attractions, including the Pike Outlets, the Aquarium of the Pacific, and the Long Beach Convention and Entertainment Center. Guests can also enjoy the nearby beaches and the iconic Queen Mary ocean liner. I stayed here because it was located close enough to the Los Angeles Cruise Port, which is a short uber ride away.

Accommodation

For my stay at the Hyatt Centric The Pike Long Beach, I didn’t receive an upgrade beyond a standard two-queen room. The rooms have a lot of fun nautical and Port of Long Beach theming, which is awesome to see.

Dining

Guests can enjoy several dining options at Hyatt Centric The Pike Long Beach. The hotel's signature restaurant, Bay Street Kitchen, offers locally-sourced, sustainable California cuisine in a casual atmosphere, which is also where they serve breakfast. The restaurant also features an outdoor patio and bar, perfect for enjoying a refreshing drink or a meal al fresco, and features clear garage-style doors to open up the restaurant to the normally excellent weather.

Services & Amenities

Hyatt Centric The Pike Long Beach offers a range of services and amenities to ensure guests have a comfortable and enjoyable stay. Some of the top amenities include a rooftop pool and lounge area, a (very small) fitness center, and a 24-hour business center. The hotel also provides valet parking, laundry service, and pet-friendly accommodations.

Nearby Attractions

There are plenty of nearby attractions to explore while staying at Hyatt Centric The Pike Long Beach. The Pike Outlets offer a variety of shopping and dining options, while the Aquarium of the Pacific provides an opportunity to learn about marine life and conservation efforts. The Long Beach Convention and Entertainment Center hosts a variety of events throughout the year, including concerts, trade shows, and sports games.

Conclusion

Overall, I enjoyed my stay at the Hyatt Centric The Pike Long Beach. It’s an awesome pre-cruise hotel for Long Beach or Los Angeles cruises, and service was excellent!
